SEARCH has led cultural resource monitoring and mitigation efforts following natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Michael, and Hurricane Maria.
We also served as the maritime archaeology lead across the four states affected by the MC-252 Event (Deepwater Horizon). State Historic Preservation Offices and Departments of Transportation across the country have contracted us to coordinate and monitor flood management and infrastructure improvement programs.
We also provided immediate support for documentation of historic structures on the Texas Coast in response to Hurricanes Hanna and Laura.
Disaster Response clients include FEMA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, HUD, National Park Service, and BOEM.
